AFSC's US-Mexico Border Program works to secure human rights and self-determination for migrants, farmworkers, and border communities by accompanying these communities in their organizing processes, facilitating leadership development, providing resources, and promoting collective action through human rights committees.
San Diego Day Laborers and Household Workers Association mission is to empower immigrant workers, primarily day laborers and domestic workers, to achieve full human rights regardless of their immigration status. AJSD advocates for worker rights, equal pay and treatment before the law, decent housing, medical care and freedom from harassment based on religion, color, sex or creed.
To educate and mobilize San Diego's religious and faith communities to raise awareness and support campaigns that sustain workers' lives with dignity, improving wages, benefits, working conditions, and a voice on the job. In partnership with low-wage workers who are trying to obtain justice in the workplace and public arena, our campaigns bring visibility to the struggle of hard working individuals and working families trying to make ends meet in San Diego County.
